In FINDING OUR WAY, our new book for families, educators and support practitioners and organizations – our documentary project continues to illuminate the family journey through mental illness and recovery by aggregating the wisdom, experience and insights of family members from a range of communities, including former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.  Parents, siblings, sons & daughters and spouses all have a very different perspective and now you can share their insight in this limited edition book.   We selected Family Member & Practitioner INTERVIEWS  that could create full first person narratives and the result is 14 family member & practitioner chapters that share the powerful experiences, lives lived and lessons learned that can hopefully help other families in their recovery journey.

Finding Our Way: Family Experiences in Mental Health Recovery was created through the support and interest of the University of Toronto’s Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, who invited us to participate in a series of family “Cafe” workshops as part of a wider research project on the family care-giving experience (now up on our website!).  They provided FINDING OUR WAY to all family and community participants.  The book has also allowed us to reach families, educators and practitioners with a deeper, more intimate and personal glimpse into the family mental health and recovery experience.  Thank you to Prof. Charmaine Williams, PhD, who invited use this amazing platform to introduce the book.
