Perspectives on what it means to be part of a caregiving family.

Experiences of giving and receiving care within families are more complex than is suggested by labelling some members as caregivers and others as receivers of that care. Traditional definitions that designate people as caregivers and care-receivers may help people access healthcare supports but they do not capture the dynamic processes of families sharing caring for each other over time.
