Theme 2 – Relationships in Caregiving Families

This section explores relationship dynamics within families, including ways of communicating with each other and the factors that shape those interactions. Issues tended to come up in places where family members get stuck, and interviewees also explored ways they successfully navigate the dynamics within their family.

Family members talk about difficult interactions they have had with family members when discussing their experiences of providing and receiving care, and ways they have come to terms with these tensions.

Family members describe the strategies they have found useful while navigating relationships with other members of their caregiving families.
